Todd and Teresa Murphree purchased Murphree’s Wine & Spirits (formerly Plaza Wine & Spirits) on February 13, 2016.  They both graduated from Duncan High School in 1979, and went on to attend the University of Oklahoma where Teresa graduated in 1983, and Todd transferred to Arkansas College and graduated in 1984.  They’ve been married since June 1, 2013. Prior to this, Teresa was a Journalism teacher at Southmoore High School in Moore, OK and Todd owned E&M Oil Company in Duncan, OK.

Murphree’s Wine & Spirits desire is to provide Stephens County with a big-city liquor store experience in our quaint little town.  We enjoy introducing new wines, beers, and spirits that aren’t the usual staples. We also stock customer favorites based on our sales analysis. As of October 1, 2018, we also have ice, refrigeration, and a large selection of domestic beers that legal statutes prevented us from carrying previously.  We are very excited to have added mixers and gift merchandise.

Part of our mission at Murphree’s Wine & Spirits, as a locally owned business, is to give back to Duncan as a community.  So, with every dollar you spend, know that we are reinvesting it in Duncan, Oklahoma. We are a major sponsor of the Duncan Regional Hospital Foundation, Chisholm Trail Arts Council, and Stephens County Humane Society.  We also support Gabriel’s House Academy, Women’s Haven, and the United Way.

 Our staff is friendly and knowledgeable.  Our store has a clean, organized, yet rustic feel.  We boast the largest wine selection in Stephens County.  Our prices are competitive, and we welcome special orders- small or large.
